The CPCS Crane Supervisor course covers the following:
This course will inform delegates about how to undertake the duties of a crane supervisor as instructed by the appointed person. Delegates will learn how to safely supervise a lift while complying with current regulations, legislation and codes of practice. Delegates will be advised of the necessary managerial and practical consideration in supervising lifting operations and will be given the opportunity to put this information into practice during simulated exercises in the training room. On completion of the course, delegates will have sufficient knowledge and information to safely supervise lifting operations for a mobile crane on a busy construction site.
This course aims to prepare delegates for a CPCS A62 Assessment.
This intensive programme is for managers and supervisors who are responsible for supervising lifting operations in a construction or industrial environment. Experienced slinger signalers who are looking to become crane supervisors may also attend this course.
This course involves a high proportion of hands-on demonstrations and practical exercises, supplemented with classroom-based tutorials and pre and post-course assessments.
Successful delegates will achieve a red CPCS trained operator card that is valid for 2 years. During this 2-year period, delegates will need to achieve a Level 4 Diploma NVQ in Controlling Lifting Operations – Supervising. This will enable delegates to upgrade their red card to a blue CPCS competent card.
